Are you planning on decorating your rental property for Christmas? If so, you've come to the right place.

Holiday decorating in Atlanta is a time honored tradition and it doesn't matter if you're a homeowner or renter, decorating is something that everybody looks forward to.

The big question is how can you decorate your rental property safely while causing little to no damage?

In this article, will answer this question and provide you with tips you can use to decorate your rental property for the holidays safely and securely.

Tip #1 - Use Command Hooks

Even though most people have used thumbtacks, nails, screws, and even tape for their holiday decorating in the past, one of the easiest things to do when it comes to decorating for the holidays is to utilize Command Hooks.

With Command Hooks, you can effectively decorate your property without causing any damage, and the great thing is that once the holidays are over, all you have to do is remove your holiday decorations be peeling the Command strips off the walls.

Tip #2 - Avoid Fire Hazards

Every year, fires occur during the holiday season because some people don’t keep safety or fire hazards in mind when decorating.

To avoid fire hazards, make sure that you keep your Christmas tree away from heat sources. You should also keep it watered as well when you have the tree in your home because they can quickly dry out.

It’s also important to avoid pinching extension cords when you are decorating because, a pinched cord can lead to an electrical fire.

After you finish decorating your house for Christmas, you should focus on thoroughly evaluating each holiday decoration just to ensure that safety was the number one priority when you were decorating your home.

Tip #3 - Think About Your Neighbors

Although your home may not be part of the homeowners association, you should still think about your neighbors during the process of decorating your house.

The last thing that you want to do is put up decorations outside which may block their view, keep them up at night, or cause a confrontation with them.
